Cheryl Lynn Harrell

Cheryl Lynn Harrell, lovingly known as “Sherry,” age 60, of Lynchburg, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on September 4, 2025. She was the cherished daughter of the late Sidney Loneal Harrell and Reberta Ann Harrell.

Born on April 18, 1965, in Norfolk, Virginia, Sherry had a warm and giving spirit. She was a true people person who brought joy and laughter wherever she went. Sherry deeply loved her family and friends, finding happiness in spending time with her children and grandchildren, who were the light of her life.

Sherry is survived by her children, Nathan (Jenny) Large and Hannah (Brandon) McRae; grandchildren, Gavin and Sydney Large, Jonathan, Roland, Aubrey, and Baby Girl McRae; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry her memory in their hearts.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Lee Harrell; her daughter, Ashley Large; her grandson, Adrian Large; and many other beloved family members and friends who welcomed her home.

A memorial service to celebrate Sherry’s life will be held at a later date. The family wishes to express their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time.
