Clinton Williams Elliott

Clinton Williams Elliott, 81, of Madison Heights, Virginia passed away on September 6, 2025. He was the son of the late Matt Elliott and Myrtle Williams Elliott. Clinton was born on March 29, 1944, in Mecklenburg County, Virginia.

He is preceded in death by his wife Barbara Clawson Elliott, three sisters; Rita, Lillie May, Vernell; two brothers, Marshall and Lindy; and former son-in-law, Edward Reynolds.

He is survived by his children, Randy Elliott and Deborah Reynolds; grandchildren, Kayla Fleeman, her husband Dylan, Madison Schultz, her husband Kyle, Zachary Reynolds, his wife Brianna; great grandson, Jaxon Schultz’ and expected great-granddaughter, Sadie Schultz. He is also survived by his twin brother, Dallas Elliott (Mary); sister, Alois Reese; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Clinton drove for Burlington Trucking for over 28 years and when he wasn’t out on the road you could find him outside. He enjoyed mowing his yard, tending to his gardens, and riding down to the creek. During Thanksgiving break, he loved to take his grandson hunting on the family farm in Halifax and then during the winter months, he would be on his tractor helping plow the neighborhood. He loved his dog Lucy, and wherever he went, she followed.

Clinton didn’t know a stranger and he’ll be missed by so many.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025, from 6:00 p.m.- 8:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights located at 118 Commonwealth Dr, Madison Heights, VA 24572.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home, Madison Heights located at 118 Commonwealth Dr, Madison Heights, VA 24572.
