Howard Herndon

Howard Eugene Herndon, 58 of Lynchburg, Virginia passed away on September 5, 2025, He was the son of the late Payton Patillo and Earlie L. Scott Herndon.

Howard was born on January 27, 1967, in Lynchburg, Va. He attended school at E.C Glass High School then pursued his career in the military for many years. Howard was a member of Peaceful Baptist Church. He also enjoyed watching football, meeting new people, and making friends. He loved his daughters, Grandkids and family. He was also an army veteran and loved talking about God.

Howard is survived by his children: Sherika Herndon, Jasmie Herndon and Inda Eubanks-Herndon Grandchildren: Shlyyrha Herndon, Ghenasis Herndon, Niyerie Herndon. Siblings; David E. Herndon (Ann), Stanley L. Herndon, Jere R. Herndon. Nephews: Malik Payne, Noah Smith, Elijah Smith and David C. Herndon Great Nieces: Kadynce Perkins, Ella Herndon and many more loving friends and family in the community. 

Addition to his parents, Howard Herndon is predeceased by: Grandson: Ralph lee spinner. Best friends: Lawrence Tweedy and Bruce Williams.

A memorial service will be held privately.
