Pauline (Irvine) Everett, slipped away peacefully at Bedford Memorial Hospital on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. Her final days were filled with the things she loved most family and friends. She was born in Pittsylvania County, Virginia on November 9, 1933, to the late John Irvine and Mary (Clayborn) Irvine. She was preceded in death by her son Bertram (Douglas) Everett, her sister Jeannette Callands, and her brother John S. Irvine. She leaves to cherish her memories, two sons William R. Everett Jr of Madison Heights, VA and his wife Norma who was a dedicated care giver and Michael I. Everett of Lynchburg, VA, her devoted daughter, Diana (Everett) Burford of Madison Heights, VA and her daughter-in-law Angela Everett of Lynchburg, VA. She also leaves her brother Clarence Irvine of Philadelphia, PA, her sister Laura Williams (Robert) of Lynchburg, VA, her sister-in-law Jean J. Irvine of Philadelphia, Pa, and her sister-in-law Patricia Jordan of Salem, VA, two brothers-in-law, Daniel Everett of Lynchburg, VA and Alvin J. Everett (Shirley) of Salem, VA, seven grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was a lifetime member of Fifth Street Baptist Church where she sang with the Gospel Chorus, the Mass Choir and His Chosen Sounds. She was a member of the Starlighters Club, the Anchornettes, Daughters of the Elks and various others social clubs and organizations where she performed many acts of kindness in the community and surrounding areas.

I know that you loved me, as much as I loved you,

And each time that you think of me, I know you’ll miss me too,

But when tomorrow starts without me, please try to understand

that an angel came and called my name, and took me by the hand,

and said my place was ready in Heaven far above,

and that I’d have to leave behind all those I dearly loved.

A service will be held at 5th Street Baptist Church on Saturday, September 20, 2025, at 1:00 p.m. A visitation will be on Friday, September 19, 2025, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
