Reginald DeWayne “Reggie” Jones, born July 14, 1977, passed away surrounded by his loved ones on September 29, 2026.
Reggie will be remembered for his kind heart, gentle nature, and soft spirit. He was a loving husband, an amazing father and grandfather, a devoted son and brother, and a loyal friend. He had a love for football and was a devoted Dallas Cowboys fan. Those who knew Reggie knew just how much he loved his team, and that will forever be one of the many things that brings a smile when remembering him.
Above all else, Reggie loved his family, he deeply loved his wife and absolutely adored his children and grandchildren. Family meant so much to him, and the love he had for them was evident in the way he lived his life. The relationships he built, the love he gave, and the memories he created with those closest to him will be cherished forever.
Reggie leaves behind a family who loved him deeply: his wife, Shelita Elliott; his three daughters, Kaleef Davis, Radayshe Elliott, and Nadege Elliott; his grandchildren, Ry’lyn Elliott, Nehemiah Scott, and Mylo Scott; his father, Alphonsa Jones (Sondra); his sister, Towonda Jones; his siblings, Cynthia Nowlin, Jamie Nowlin, Kandis Saunders, and Donald Saunders Jr.; his dear friend and brother in life, Damon Cardwell; and a host of extended family members, and dear friends
Reggie was preceded in death by his beloved mother, Rhonda Jones; his brother, Alphonsa Jones Jr.; and his grandparents, Bessie Terrell, Archie Terrell, Louise Jones, and Hatley Jones.
Although Reggie’s passing leaves an immeasurable void, the love he gave and the memories he created will continue to live on through his family and everyone whose life he touched. His kind heart, gentle spirit, and loving presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing and loving him.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to everyone who has reached out, offered prayers, shared words of comfort, and shown love and support during this difficult time. Your kindness has meant more than words can express. Please continue to keep Reggie’s family and loved ones in your thoughts and prayers as they cherish his memory and carry his love with them always.
