Roan (Ronnie) Hunter Cardwell

Roan (Ronnie) Hunter Cardwell departed this life on September 24, 2025, at his residence. Ronnie was born November 18, 1952, in Concord, Virginia. He was the son of late Otis I. Cardwell and late Elizabeth C. Cardwell. He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers: Otis Jr., McKinley, Leon and Lawrence (Cigarette) Cardwell. As well as his two sisters Yvonne and Barbara Cardwell. Finally, his one son Rondell Mosby.

He leaves to cherish his memory of his seven children. Jerrod Jackson, Regina Wesley-Davis (Brian), Sophia Banks (Ray), Sophilia Walker (Eric), Charay Trent, Myra Trent, Tasha Carter. His two sisters Edith Cardwell and Nellie Mae Copeland. His four brothers: James (Jim), Jessie Cardwell, Richard Harvey, and James Hamlett. He also leaves to cherish his memory the love of his life Ms. Margie Trent. His twenty-two grandchildren. A host of nieces, nephews, great grandchildren, relatives and friends, and two devoted grandchildren Lachad Trent and Tremaliq Thompson.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, October 3, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory located at 220 Breezewood Drive Lynchburg, Virginia 24502.
