Sandra Kaye Boyd, 61, of Bedford, died Saturday, February 9, 2013 at Lewis-Gale Hospital. Sandra was born in Bedford County on September 25, 1951 and raised by her grandparents, Oscar Wright Dooley and Pearl Trent Dooley.
She was a member of Cool Spring Pentecostal Holiness Church and was retired from ITT Night Vision.
Sandra is survived by her husband, Kenneth Edward Boyd, Sr.; two sons, Kenneth Edward Boyd, Jr. of Bedford and Jamie Todd Boyd and wife, Joni of Bedford; her mother, Edith Mae Dooley Bennett of Bedford; a sister, Joyce Marie Bennett of Claytor Lake; two brothers, Eldridge Joseph Bennett, of Bedford, Roger Dale Bennett of Bedford; and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, February 11, 2013 at Peaks Community Cemetery, with Rev. Larry G. Myers officiating.
