Sandra Womack

Sandra Blanks Womack, 57, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the early morning of October 3, 2026 with her devoted husband Rodney by her side.

Sandy was born on October 14, 1968. She was the daughter of the late Don and Anne Blanks. She was an LCA graduate. She was a dedicated employee of Intercon for 15 years and was presently a Senior Associate Supply Chain Planner with Newell Brands for over 24 years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother in law, Sue Womack and sister in law, Kristie McHugh.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband, Rodney; daughters, Erin and Eva who were her world; sister, Beth Pierce (Mark); father in law, Steve Womack; brother in law, Kirk McHugh; and nephews, Justin, Derek and Blake.

During their 32 years of marriage, they enjoyed fishing, concerts and video games. Sandy was an avid reader of many books, but their greatest pastime was attending their daughters’ sporting events.

Her greatest joy was raising her two amazing daughters and being a second mom to many of their friends. Sandy never knew a stranger and will always be remembered for her unconditional love and support.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday October 8, 2026, at 4P.M. at Tharp Funeral Home in Lynchburg with a visitation being held one hour prior.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to your favorite charity in memory of her. One of her favorites was the Lynchburg Humane Society.
